FT. JOHNSTON-SOUTHPORT MUSEUM & VISITORS' CENTER 203 E. Bay Street - directly behind the NC Maritime Museum Monday - Saturday  10:00 am  - 4:00 pm Sunday 1:00 - 4:00  On the grounds of this historic site is the Southport Community BuildingStroll along the riverfront across from the Visitors Center and Museum As a special treat, we are pleased to announce that the NC Maritime Museum (also located on the grounds of Fort Johnston) will open its doors for a private tour just for DAR immediately following our meeting.  The Southport Museum/Garrison House may also be toured. Parking Instructions Parking for the District VII meeting is all “on street parking”. Parking is plentiful along Moore Street which runs in front of the Community Center Building with very flat walking conditions.  DO NOT PARK IN THE ALLEY WAY TO THE LEFT OF THE TENNIS COURTS LEADING TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER – YOU WILL BE TOWED. Parking is also available on Dry Street and on Bay Street. Bay Street parking is at the bottom of the hill on the backside of the Community Center and is closest to the Cape Fear River.
