The March 9th DAR meeting was held at The View Restaurant in Ocean Isle
Beach, NC. A very interesting and informative program
presented by Linda Smith on Women in the Military and Jane Johnson on Women’s
Issues and the Military. Following the meeting, a Wreath Laying Ceremony took
place at the Veterans Memorial at Sunset Beach to commemorate the last day U.S.
Troops were on the ground in Vietnam.
A special thank you is extended to Jack Lambert, DAR member Cheri Lambert’s
husband who took many beautiful photographs for us at the commemoration
ceremony.
